Ludwig Mies van der Rohe is one of those architects who determined the look of 20th-century cities. 

And in connection with Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s 126th birthday, Google prepared a special homepage doodle in honor of this German modernist and internationalist architect.

This time, Google’s regular homepage doodle is replaced by the depiction of S. R. Crown Hall—the home of the College of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology—which Ludwig Mies van der Rohe had designed in 1955.
