YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry building is not sold, State Property Management Department Press Secretary Margarita Sargsyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am, and thereby she refuted the media news that the MFA building was sold.

The press had specifically noted that the building was purchased, for US$ 400 million, by a foreign company engaged in hotel business.

As per Margarita Sargsyan,  such business deal cannot be conducted without proper public notification, and, also, there is a special procedure for such dealings.

The Government of Armenia had adopted a decision whereby a new building will be constructed for the Foreign Affairs, Regional Governance, and Energy ministries at the site of the former building and boiler of the Justice Ministry.
