YEREVAN. – For the first time ever, the US dollar’s exchange rate against the Armenian dram (AMD) surpassed the AMD 391/$1 psychological threshold on Thursday. Its average exchange rate was AMD 391.25/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange.

And even though the dollar’s demand reached a minimum of AMD 390.75/$1, it was offered at AMD 392/$1 at the end of the trading session.     

The total sales were $1 million.

Armenia’s exchange offices buy the dollar at a maximum of AMD 390/$1 and sell at a minimum of AMD 392/$1.
