YEREVAN. – The dismantling of pavilions in Mashtots Park scheduled for Saturday and the forced realization of the activists’ demands are not protected by freedom of demonstrations, Armenia’s Police says.

“The given illegal actions can be considered as violation and may lead to compliance with the law. The Police remind that the administrative act on realizing construction work in the park can only be challenged in the court. Once again the police call to stay away from illegal actions.

Today the police reminded the activists in Mashtost Park about the illegality of their actions and the consequences,” the statement reads.

To remind, environmentalists had announced that they will dismantle the pavilions in Mashtots Park with their own means.
