YEREVAN. – The Armenian National Committee of Television and Radio (NCTR) has cautioned the country’s television companies that if parliamentary candidate singers and actors appear on their broadcasts during the election campaign period from April 8 to May 4, this will be viewed as airing campaign material, Haykakan Zhamanak daily writes.

“The NCTR corroborated this fact in an interview with us. [But] The thing is that Armenia’s Electoral Code has no article that gives the NCTR the right to make such demand of the television companies,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
