ISTANBUL. – The Istanbul Compulsory Enforcement Service has auctioned “Sari Gelin” (“The Bride of Mountain” in Armenian; “Blonde Bride” in Turkish), Turkey’s biggest-ever documentary film devoted to Armenian-Turkish relations.

The aforesaid Service informed that the film is being put up for sale because the company that created it cannot repay its debts, Haberler news agency of Turkey informs.   

“Sari Gelin” will be auctioned off with a starting price of 50,000 Turkish liras (approx. US$ 30,000), which will include the authorization for the release of the film’s episodes in DVD and VCD format. 

The documentary was filmed in thirteen countries. The six-part film consists of interviews conducted with 160 people, and with respect to Armenian-Turkish relations.

“Sari Gelin” will be auctioned on April 12. But if it is not sold on that day, a second auction will be held on April 18.
