YEREVAN. – On the invitation of Armenia’s FM Edward Nalbandian, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will pay a visit to the country on Monday and Tuesday. 

The visit is devoted to 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Russia, MFA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

During his stay in Armenia, Lavrov will hold talks with Nalbandian. Also, meetings are scheduled with President Serzh Sargsyan, PM Tigran Sargsyan, and National Assembly Speaker Samvel Nikoyan, RIA Novosti News Agency reports.   

And according to the Russian MFA, “settlement of the Karabakh conflict is on the agenda.”

Sergei Lavrov will then head to Azerbaijan, where he will meet with that country’s top officials, and explanatory talks will be conducted with the Azerbaijani FM.

Settlement of the Karabakh conflict is on the agenda of Lavrov’s visits to Yerevan and Baku alike.
