Both French presidential candidates Nicolas Sarkozy and Francois Hollande reaffirmed their commitment to introduce a new bill on criminalization of the Armenian Genocide denial.

In their separate letters to chairman of the national council of Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations of France (CCAF) Alexis Govciyan and CCAF co-chairman Ara Toranian, the candidates promised to present a new bill in June, Nouvelles d`Arménie reports.

“Be sure that on behalf of France I will continue the struggle to recognize the truth and restore justice on the Armenian issue,” Sarkozy said in his letter.
