YEREVAN. - The final rally of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) held within the framework of election campaign has already kicked off in Liberty Square of Yerevan.

In the opening speech Aram Manukyan, chairman of Armenian National Movement board, said ANC held about 40 demonstrations throughout Armenia from April 10 to May 1, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports.

Manukyan stressed that May 6 will be the day when people will “display collective will.”

Armenian National Congress (ANC) is an opposition bloc founded in 2008 after presidential elections. During the August 1, 2008, rally in Yerevan the first President of Armenia and ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan announced formation of the bloc. ANC comprises 18 parties and political forces.

ANC proportional list includes 119 names. It has also nominated MP candidates with the majority election system.
