VIENNA. - Armenians ranked 2nd and 3rd at the Eurovision Young Musicians 2012 final round, head of Armenia’s Eurovision delegation Gohar Gasparyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to her, Eivind Holtsmark Ringstad from Norway ranked 1st with his viola, followed by Emmanuel Tjeknavorian (Austria) with his violin and Narek Kazazyan (Armenia) with his qanun.

“We are satisfied and very happy. Narek has left a great impression on everyone. I can say that if it was the audience choice award the victory would have been ours. Everyone was telling us that this boy is number one. Everyone was delighted by our instrument and playing. The experience we got during and after the competition was a bigger award than the third place,” Gohar Gasparyan said.

Narek Kazazyan received several prices including an award of €2,000.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, for the first time Armenia participated in the Young Musicians Eurovision which took place in Vienna.
