YEREVAN.- During the May 6 parliamentary elections the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) bloc headed by first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan received the most considerable support in capital Yerevan. Only in Yerevan ANC managed to overcome 7% to enter the parliament.

Armenian News-NEWS.am presents the Armenian National Congress’ results according to the regions in descending order (the percentage was calculated from 100% of the votes cast for political parties and blocs taking part in the parliamentary elections of May 6).

Yerevan - 11.69%
Shirak Region - 6.52%
Kotayk Region - 6.27%
Aragatsotn Region - 5.85%
Armavir Region - 5.69%
Tavush Region - 5.42%
Lori Region - 5.36%
Syunik Region - 3.93%
Gegharkunik Region - 3.63%
Ararat Region - 3.56%
Vayots Dzor Region - 3.23%

The preliminary results issued on Sunday showed the Armenian National Congress polled 7.8% of votes (106, 903).
