YEREVAN. – The cause of the fight, which occurred at a restaurant complex belonging to ruling Republican Party MP and Football Federation of Armenia President Ruben Hayrapetyan, has become clear.

“The incident’s particulars are revealed, the identities are determined of all those involved in the incident, four persons are already questioned so far, [and] the examination revealed the identity of the person who caused injury,” Police Public Relations and Media Department Chair Ashot Aharonyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.       

He informed that the examiners have not questioned the injured parties, since the doctors say they are in critical condition, but the investigation is continuing. 

And according to our information, the military physicians were at the restaurant in a group of four, they became very “active” at the heated moment of the celebration—and because they were somewhat inebriated—, the waiter asked them to “calm down,” this started an argument, and the restaurant’s security personnel intervened.        

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, a criminal case is opened in connection with a fight that occurred at the aforesaid restaurant complex. The case is launched on charges of intentionally causing serious health damage, Ashot Aharonyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.    

In his words, no one is detained yet, and an investigation is underway.

According to the information Armenian News-NEWS.am ascertained, MOD Central Garrison Military Hospital’s department dead, Medical Service Major Vahe Avetyan and Doctor Artak Bayadyan had sustained injuries and were taken to the aforesaid hospital.   

To note, a brutal fight transpired at the restaurant complex on Sunday at around 11pm. And according to the information Armenian News-NEWS.am received, Vahe Avetyan was the person who was beaten. He was transferred to the Hospital with a critical head injury and he underwent surgery. He is still kept at the Hospital and is in very critical condition.      

According to preliminary reports, Avetyan was beaten by Ruben Hayrapetyan’s security personnel.
