TOPEKA. – Representatives of the Kansas National Guard and the Armenian MOD met at the Conference-Hall of the State Defense Building of Topeka on Tuesday, The Topeka Capital-Journal reports.

Two Armenian officers, Major-General Ishkhan Matevosyan and Colonel Gevorg Hakobyan met the leadership of the Guard to exchange information and experience on improving Armed Forces.

“We're working with the Armenian Ministry of Defense so they don't have to reinvent the wheel,” Sgt. Maj. James Moberly, of the Kansas Army National Guard said. “In the Army National Guard, we've got more than 400 years of experience reaching the point we're at with the professional, noncommissioned officer.”

The partnership between Armenia and the Kansas National Guard was established in 2003.
