Armenian News-NEWS.am presents an extract from an article by international editor Becky Sue Epstein at Palate Press, specialized in wines, who visited Armenia and share her impressions.

Her purpose to visit Armenia, endearing mountainous country in Caucasus, was to learn about its great brand of “cognac.” Epstein without being an economist, could only judge Armenia by factors she knew best, including wines and spirits. Armenia has been making quality brandies since the late 1800s. Regarding wines, there are people in several areas working on the wine industry.

Armenia is considered to be the first place wine was made. It took place over 8,000 years ago. This claim was testified by very recent findings of ancient fermented grape residue in clay vessels. The author is very interested in seeing how Armenia will get its message and its wines all over the world.
