YEREVAN. – During Thursday’s National Assembly (NA) examination of the Government’s five-year program, the opposition Armenian National Congress’ (ANC) NA Faction leader Levon Zurabyan noted that this program is matter of trust toward the Government, and asked:

“Will a government, which forged 500-700 thousand votes in its favor, be accountable before the people? No. It will be accountable solely before the election riggers and the oligarchs. Can we trust a government which stole 200 billion drams [approx. US$ 48,358,000] from its own people in the past four years?”

And at the end of his talk, Zurabyan made a call to attend the ANC’s public rally to be held on June 26, at capital city Yerevan’s Liberty Square.

“And we thought you would use this platform, but again you are calling for a rally,” said NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan in reaction to this announcement by Levon Zurabyan.
