Russia’s Foreign Ministry positively assessed the recent meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs in terms of continuation of the political dialogue.

During the Thursday briefing, Russian MFA representative Alexander Lukashevich said the sides exchanged views on the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, the recent incidents at the line of contact and continuation of humanitarian contacts, APA agency reports.

Lukashevich also said the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs plan to visit the region in July. As regards the recent statement made by co-chairing states’ leaders in Mexico, it shows that all the three countries are interested in speediest resolution of the Karabakh conflict, he added.

Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs – Edward Nalbandian and Elmar Mammadyarov - met in Paris on June 18.
