YEREVAN. – On Tuesday Puccini’s Turandot Opera will be performed by Armenian State Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Edward Topchyan at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Yerevan.

The State Academic Choir of Armenia led by Hovhannes Chekijian and children's choir ‘Speghani’ under the direction of Sarin Avtandilyan will also participate in the performance.

Siranush Gasparyan (Soprano) – Princess Turandot, Erniko Lee (Tenor, South Korea) – Kalaf, Irina Zakyan (Soprano) – Lu, Sargis Torosyan (Tenor) – Altoum, Richard Madlenyan (bass) – Timor, and others will perform as solo performers. 

The plot of the opera is built around the love story of a cruel princess Turandot and Prince Calaf.

The opera is being performed in Yerevan for the first time.
