YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Embassy in Syria is working normally, MFA Press Secretary Tigran Balayan told Armenian News-NEWS.am

“Armenia’s Embassy in Damascus works as usual, no incident has been recorded,” noted Balayan.

According to media reports, fierce battles took place Sunday, between the Syrian Government troops and the opposition, in Damascus and its environs.  

As ITAR-TASS News Agency informs, referring to Al Jazeera, the skirmish still continues and the streets are surrounded by security forces.   

And according to Syria’s opposition sources, sixteen people lost their lives and dozens were injured in Damascus.
