YEREVAN. – Armenia’s opposition Heritage Party Secretary Stepan Safaryan is dissatisfied by the European organizations’ reactions to the presidential elections held in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) and by Armenia’s respective policy. Safaryan himself stated this during a press conference on Tuesday.

In his words, the problem lies in the foreign policy which Armenia has adopted.

And with respect to Armenia’s domestic political developments, Safaryan noted that Heritage could nominate its own candidates—starting from the councils of elders until community leaders—in the local government elections to be held this fall. But since the Party has not yet discussed this matter, they still have not made a final decision on participation.

He stressed, however, that they soon will hold such discussion.
