YEREVAN. – Under the decision of the Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan, Romik Sigranyan was dismissed from the office of the Armenian deputy Minister of Emergency Situations based on his own application.

According to another PM’s decision, Vardan Karapetyan was dismissed from the office of Armenian deputy Minister of Agriculture based on his own application, the Government said.

Both of them are members of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP). The new deputy ministers and deputy regional governors could be designated in September.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, PAP-member deputy ministers and deputy regional governors submitted their formal resignations from their offices on Friday. 

“Following the May 6, 2012 parliamentary elections, the Prosperous Armenia Party reached a political decision to not participate in the formation of the coalition government. Remaining faithful to our party’s political decision, we announce about our resignations, which we have submitted today [Friday].”
