The “Small Singers of Armenia” Children’s Choir of Armenia has begun its unique concert tour in Japan. The choir will perform in eighteen Japanese cities, over the course of forty days, and present the jewels of Armenian and world music.

The Choir, which is conducted by Tigran Hekekyan, received the invitation for a concert tour in Japan from the latter’s famous Min On organization.

Armenia’s small children already performed in several Japanese cities, and even visited the Kyushu Island, which is ravaged by the recent floods, and sang for the flood victims.

The “Small Singers of Armenia” Children’s Choir’s concert tour in Japan is devoted to the 20th anniversary of Armenian-Japanese diplomatic ties and 500th anniversary of the Armenian printed books.

The Choir will return to Armenia on August 14.
