YEREVAN.- Armenia’s consulate general has been moved out of Aleppo.

Spokesperson for Armenian Foreign Ministry Tigran Balayan confirmed the reports for Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Asked whether the reports on consulate moving are true, Balayan said, “For a more efficient and safe organization of consular services provided to the local Armenians, Consulate General of Armenia in Aleppo was temporarily moved closer to the Armenian-populated districts.”

The conflict which started in March 2011 claimed the lives of over 16 thousand people.
