Armenia is 82nd from among 144 countries, in the The Global Competitiveness Report 2012-2013, thereby registering a 10-point progress as compared from the year past, states the report publicized by the Economy and Values Research Center.   

The Global Competitiveness Report is published by the World Economic Forum, and the competitiveness indicator is calculated on a 12-point scale.  

In line with the 2012-2013 Report, Switzerland continues to top the list, and the top five also includes Singapore, Finland, Sweden, and the Netherlands. 

The highest ranking from among CIS countries belongs to Azerbaijan, which is 46th and has climbed the standings with 9 points as compared with last year. The greatest progress was registered by Kazakhstan, which went up 21 points in the standings and is currently ranked 51st. Russia has dropped one point and is 67th, whereas Georgia went up 11 points and is in 77th spot.
