YEREVAN. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic’s (NKR) “Stepanakert” Airport is officially put into operation, head of NKR Civil Aviation Department Head Valeri Adbashyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“A confirmation certificate is formally received. This bespeaks two things: The Airport’s compliance with international standards, and the right to commence receiving and dispatching of aircrafts,” Adbashyan said, and added that the certificate was received on September 28.

“We held a staff meeting, and its 35 members were awarded certificates of honor for their work in putting the Airport into operation,” NKR Civil Aviation Department Head said.     

To note, the Stepanakert-Yerevan-Stepanakert flights are expected to start soon. But, still, there is no clear information on the starting date and schedule of these flights.
