YEREVAN. – Armenian Premier Tigran Sargsyan on Friday will convene a session of the council on the fight against corruption. Representatives from the opposition political parties, NGOs, and international organizations likewise will be invited to the event, Sargsyan himself stated during Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

He informed that the President has instructed him to toughen the fight against corruption so that the results may be tangible and visible. “We are not satisfied with the state of the fight against corruption,” Sargsyan said.

In his words, the collaboration with the civil society representatives needs to be strengthened. To this end, the Cabinet members were proposed to submit the list of NGOs with which cooperation is expedient. “It will be correct to also invite the opposition parties, so that they may collaborate and get involved,” Armenia’s PM stated.
