The appointment of Oleg Yesayan, former Speaker of the NKR Parliament, as RA Ambassador to Russia is indicative of Yerevan “still dreaming about turning these Azerbaijani lands into part of Armenia,” the political analyst Zardush Alizade told 1news.az.

He pointed out that natives of Nagorno-Karabakh hold high posts in Armenia. “Their presidents and ministers are natives of Nagorno-Karabakh. Now a Karabakhi Armenian has been appointed Ambassador to Moscow,” Alizade said.

On January 21, RA President Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree appointing Oleg Yesayan RA Ambassador to Russia (residence in Moscow).

Oleg Yesayan had been RA Ambassador to Belarus since 2006. From 2005 to 2006, he was Head of the RA Securities Commission. In 1997-2005, he was Speaker of the NKR Parliament.
