Armenian epic poem “David of Sassoun” has been included in the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The meeting of the intergovernmental committee was held on Wednesday.

As reported earlier, the seventh session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage is being held in Paris from 3 to 7 December.

The agenda of the session included the examination of almost 60 nominations.

Last year the Armenian khachkar — “Armenian cross-stones art. Symbolism and craftsmanship of Khachkars”— was included in the Lists of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
