YEREVAN. – So far in 2013, Yerevan Beer CJSC of Armenia has increased the beer exports to Russia by more than 20 percent in one year.

Company CEO Ashot Baghdasaryan told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am

To the query as to whether he expects the creation of a level playing field for his company once Armenia joins the Russian-led Customs Union, the entrepreneur responded that it is far too early to speculate on this matter.    

“[But] we hope that the procedure would become more lenient and acceptable to us,” Baghdasaryan stressed.

Over the course of the first nine months of this year, Armenia has exported to Russia about 1.5 million liters of beer, totaling $1.3 million; this is about 90 percent of the Armenian beer exports conducted during the specified period of time.
