YEREVAN. – Armenia’s accession to the single Customs Union (CU) will help the Armenian-Serbian mutual trade.

Dejan Delić, Senior Advisor at the Chamber of Commerce an Industry of Serbia, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Delić is in Armenian capital city Yerevan to attend the first Armenian-Serbian Business Forum.

The reason is that Serbia has a free trade agreement with the CU countries, the Serbian expert recalled.

He also underscored the bilateral tax agreement, which was signed on Monday during the Serbia official delegation’s visit to Armenia.

“I believe that the free trade system will be beneficial to both parties. If Armenia is included in the Customs Union, we automatically will have such a system. According to our data, this will happen soon enough,” Dejan Delić stated.

Following the talks that were held on September 3, 2013 in Moscow between Armenian and Russian Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin, Sargsyan had announced that Armenia plans to join the Customs Union and subsequently engage in the formation of the Eurasian Economic Union.
