YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan has resigned, parliament deputy speaker said, Armenian News-NEWS.am reports.

The decision on government resignation was declared by the Parliament Deputy Speaker and ruling Republican Party spokesperson Eduard Sharmazanov on Thursday after the meeting of the Executive Body of the Republican Party of Armenia.

According to Sharmazanov, Armenian PM has submitted his resignation a month ago, however, taking into account the issues related with Armenia’s decision to join the Russia-led Customs Union, President Serzh Sargsyan asked Tigran Sargsyan to stay an additional month. Sharmazanov added that the president approved the resignation of the Prime Minister.
