The profile committees of the Kyrgyzstan parliament on Monday supported the government’s draft treaty on the country’s joining the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

The Kyrgyz parliament Head of Press Service, Tolgonay Stamaliev, told the above-said to RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.   

He explained that, in this way, the parliament, “has given its consent to the signing of the treaty on Kyrgyzstan’s accession to the EEU.”    

Stamaliev added that, according to the respective procedure, and following the document’s planned signing on Tuesday, its formal national validation procedure will get underway. If the Kyrgyz parliament ratifies this treaty, it will be submitted to the President for signature; and if signed, it will enter into force.

Separately, after January 1, 2015, Armenia is expected to join the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union, which also includes Kazakhstan and Belarus.
