“We decided not to participate in Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year. One of the reasons is that we are short of time to prepare for it. Besides, costs for Junior Eurovision Song Contest is impressive, and the effect from participation is not so noticeable,” Head of Azerbaijani delegation to Eurovision Song Contest Adil Karimli said.

According to Karimli, it is easy to understand by the number of participating countries, which is less than that of Eurovision song contest.

This year fourteen countries have applied for the contest, but only some of them confirmed their participation officially.

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010 will be held in Minsk on November 20.
