The Armenian religious and secular organizations in Georgia have petitioned to the country’s parliament.

They are requesting the Georgian parliament to begin formal debates on the recognition of the fact of the genocide of the Armenian people from 1915 to 1923, informed the press office of the Armenian Community of Georgia.

In addition, the aforesaid Armenian organizations urged the three Armenian deputies of the Parliament of Georgia to make a joint statement calling on the parliament to observe a minute of silence in the upcoming session, and in memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.
