The Prime Minister of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh), Arayik Harutyunyan, on Monday received a group of members from the Landtag (parliament) of the State of Brandenburg in Germany.

The German MPs are in the NKR along the lines of an observation mission to monitor Sunday’s parliamentary election in Artsakh.

First, Harutyunyan welcomed the guests’ decision to visit Karabakh, and expressed a conviction that this trip will be the beginning of productive cooperation. The PM also underscored the importance of regular contacts in terms of implementing joint projects.

The members of the Brandenburg parliament, for their part, shared their impressions of Sunday’s election in the NKR, and considered this voting to be in full compliance with the precepts of democracy.

Subsequently, the parties reached specific agreements with respect to future cooperation.
