YEREVAN. – World-renowned Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned—who is the second of the three wives of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, former Emir of the State of Qatar—left Armenia on Friday.

Before her departure, however, the Sheikha paid a visit to capital city Yerevan’s Mesrop Mashtots Matenadaran, which is one of the world’s oldest repositories of ancient manuscripts.

The Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter observed that although Sheikha Mozah was there for solely five minutes, all Matenadaran visitors at the time were brought out of the building during her fleeting stopover.

All through the Sheikha’s two-day visit to Armenia, the security personnel tried in every way to keep her away from reporters and video cameras.

Sheikha Mozah left from Yerevan to Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia, with a chartered flight.
