A new Israeli Ambassador will soon arrive in Armenia, but his residence will remain in Jerusalem, head of the Jewish community of Armenia Rimma Varzhapetyan told a press conference.

She noted that absence of the Armenian Embassy in Israel and Israeli one in Yerevan is conditioned by shortage of financial resources. Varzhapetyan expressed confidence that both countries will open embassies in the near future.

The Jewish community of Armenia totals about 1000 people, with majority residing in Yerevan.
