YEREVAN. – An Armenian town of Masis has a new church, blessed by the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church and sponsored by businessman, benefactor Hrant Vardanyan.

His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, consecrated the St. Thaddeus Church. The President of Armenia and other high ranking officials participated in the ceremony.

Armenian national benefactor, the late Hrant Vardanyan's dream was to see the church completely constructed. His sons – Michael Vardanyan and Karen Vardanyan made his dream come true.

His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians awarded the benefactors St. Gregory the Illuminator medal - the highest award of the Armenian Apostolic Church. The architect of the St. Thaddeus Church is Anahit Tarkhanyan.
