France national squad manager Didier Deschamps admitted his team may face difficulties ahead of match with Armenia because of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

He called not to underestimate the Armenian squad, adding that he was impressed by the game of Artur Sarkisov and Marcos Pizzelli.

“We have to treat Armenia and Albania as strong European squads. If we do, we will achieve success. Mkhitaryan did not play in Yerevan, and it was easier for us,” he said during a press conference ahead of the match.

Deschamps also urged not to criticize Benzema for a few goals.

“I trust him,” the manager said.
