YEREVAN. – In Thursday’s Cabinet meeting, the Government of Armenia will discuss the matter of allocating 1.5 billion drams to “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund, reported Haykakan Zhamanak daily.

“The money will be used for the renovation of the Vardenis-Martakert Highway being carried out by the Fund.

“The renovation of this 116-km highway of great importance began last year, and the government has already allocated about 3.8 billion drams from its reserve fund. The entire work costs about 13 billion drams; this is the Fund’s only major project in which the government is taking such a part.

“According to some information, the construction’s actual funding by the government is due to the fact that the Fund is able to collect less and less money from the [tele] marathons, and the collected amount is no longer sufficient for the implementation of all the projects,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
