YEREVAN. - The citizens’ flow to Yerevan’s central Republic Square is continuing ahead of the ecumenical prayer to be offered by Pope Francis and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II at 7:00 pm.

Armenian Chief of Police Vladimir Gasparyan is also in the square, watching the work of the police, Armenian News - NEWS.am correspondent reports.

The citizens told Armenian News – NEWS.am that they will take part in this historic ceremony even regardless the weather conditions.

“I’m 75, and have come here with my grandchildren to take part in this historic ceremony. I hope that the Pope’s prayer will find its way to heaven and bring peace to our country,” one of the citizens said.
