YEREVAN. - The Armenian legislation doesn’t ban foreign online casinos to operate in the country but the demand concerning their licensing remains unchanged.

First Deputy Minister of Finance Pavel Safaryan said the aforementioned in the parliament on Thursday, introducing the draft amendments to the Law on Licensing.

Foreign online casinos and games with cash prizes already operate in the republic. However, the Armenian authorities decided not to block them but only demand from them to get licensed like the local ones.

Under the bill, starting from 1 June 2017 the licensing process for the online casinos will be as stringent as for ordinary ones.
