I think in the modern world all states are interconnected, countries with small economy depending more on external impulses.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said the aforementioned in an interview with Sky News Arabia.

To the question as to how the internal events taking place in Europe and Trump’s victory in U.S. may impact the inter-political life of Armenia, Sargsyan said: “In this context, we have no concerns, since we have very good friendly ties with the United States, our relations developing progressively over the past 25 years. We have equally good relations with both the Democratic and Republican parties. As you know, there are various Armenians living in the United States, who have achieved great success. The U.S. Congressmen have Armenian friends and Armenians have Congressmen friends – people who are part of the friendship groups formed both in the Senate and House of Representatives – with whom we have always been in good relations.”

Sargsyan also noted that he predicts no significant changes in the Armenian-American relations after the U.S. presidential elections. “I am sure that our relations will develop well. Our inter-political situation is more impacted by the events taking place in the Middle East, since our compatriots who live there take direct part in them. In this context, these events are more sensitive to us,” he said.
