YEREVAN. – Education and Science Minister of Armenia, Levon Mkrtchyan, on Monday met with Indian Ambassador Yogeshwar Sangwan.

Mkrtchyan noted that Armenian-Indian relations, especially in the educational and cultural sector, are important to Armenia, the Ministry of Education and Science informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. In this context, he underscored the taking of practical steps toward developing and deepening cooperation.

At the ensuing talk, the interlocutors primarily discussed the draft of the agreement to be signed between the Governments of Armenia and India, and with respect to mutual recognition of higher and postgraduate professional education qualifications between the two countries. 

Thanking for the existing cooperation in the education sector, Ambassador Sangwan, for his part, expressed the hope that the signing of this agreement will give new impetus to the strengthening and development of cooperation between the two countries, in the education sector.
