A potential candidate for the US Attorney General Jeff Sessions has been accused of racism, reports The Independent.

Sessions is a Senator from Alabama. He was proclaimed by his votes against bills that facilitated the requirements introduced to immigrants, both legal and illegal, including foreign scientists and programmers. In 2007, he personally introduced a bill, that punished officials who provided illegal immigrants with jobs.

In 2016 Sessions criticized the Black Lives Matter movement, calling it radical, and accused it of inciting violence in American cities. His appointment has raised complaints among civic activists and lawyers.
