YEREVAN. – It is no secret for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Minsk Group (OSCE MG) co-chairs as to which one of the parties launched the military actions on December 29 of last year.

Caucasus Institute Deputy Director, political scientist Sergey Minasyan, noted the aforementioned at a press conference on Wednesday.

In his words, however, the first two sentences in the co-chairs’ respective statement contradict one another.

“That is, on the one hand, an attempt was undertaken to put parity between the actions by the Armenian and the Azerbaijani sides,” said Minasyan. “On the other hand, the second sentence in the statement speaks about returning the [dead] body of the Azerbaijani saboteur.

“It’s clear: If the Azerbaijani side did not start these [military] actions, then why did the saboteur’s body turn up on the Armenian side?”
