YEREVAN. – Yelk (Way Out) opposition alliance on Thursday presented its papers to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), in order to run for parliament in the upcoming election.

Civil Contract Party member Vahagn Hovakimyan, Republic Party Political Board member Norik Yeghiazaryan, and Bright Armenia Party member Davit Khajakyan submitted Yelk’s respective documents to the CEC.

Hovakimyan told reporters that their election lists are very competitive.

“The alliance is made up of three parties, with proportion” he added.

There are 121 MP candidates on the proportional election list of Yelk, and 112 candidates—on its territorial election lists.

Bright Armenia Party Chairman, MP Edmon Marukyan, will head the Yelk nationwide list. He is followed by Republic Party Chairman and former PM Aram Sargsyan, and Civil Contract Party Chairman, MP Nikol Pashinyan, respectively.
