German Chancellor Angela Merkel again demanded the Turkish authorities to stop comparing the actions of the German authorities with the tactics of the Nazis in connection with banning the speeches Turkish politicians in Germany.

She noted that the German Government reserves the right to further ban Turkish politicians’ speeches, if Ankara does not respect the German law, Reuters reports.

"I continue demanding Turkey to stop comparing Germany with the Nazis.  Unfortunately, these comparisons do not stop, and we will not tolerate violations of taboo," said Merkel.

Merkel stressed, that the German Foreign Ministry warned Ankara that the Turkish politicians can deliver speeches in Germany, only if they comply with the local legislation, which prohibits any deliberate humiliation in regard to Germany. If the law is violated, the German government has the right to take the necessary steps, including reviewing diplomatic relations.
