Armenia has no intention to expand the number of the General Consulates in Russia yet, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Russian federation Vardan Toghanyan stated during a Moscow-Yerevan space bridge on Wednesday summing up the results of the first days of work.

According to the ambassador, there are four general consulates of Armenia in Russia now: in Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Saint Petersburg and Sochi.

“However, there is a problem of covering the rest of the territory. For example, about two thousand Armenian citizens live in Kamchatka,” the ambassador noted.

In this regard, he added, Armenia considers the possibility of renewal of institute of mobile consuls.
