YEREVAN. - We still need the Armenian-Russian friendship.

Deputy candidate of the Communist Party of Armenia, Gagik Manukyan, said the aforementioned at the final pre-election event Thursday.

In his words, the 102nd Russian military base and border guards are still strongly necessary for Armenia. “Please, first ask the population whether they want the 102nd Russian military base be taken out of Armenia, “ Manukyan said.

Another candidate of the party, Mariam Shahinyan, noted that the Communist Party is not that old. “During the election campaign we saw the growth of our supporters among the youth. The community should trust the Communist Party.  The Armenian people should live in a socially secure country. And this is not a nostalgia,” she added.
