YEREVAN. - Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia, Ashot Manukyan, on Friday chaired a working consultation on the work related to the extension of the NPP station operation.

During the meeting it was noted that the work on extending the operation of the Armenian NPP doesn't fall behind the schedule, the ministry press-service informed Armenian News – NEWS.am.

The NPP staff was given instructions on the proper implementation of work.

The work on extending the operation of the Armenian NPP is carried out within the framework of the $270 mln credit tranche and $30 mln grant from the Russian Government. The operation of the NPP will be extended for 10 years, till 2026. The construction of a new power bloc is schedule to be completed by that time.
